Put Yourself in The Hands of Choreographers

November 28, 2001

Move over New York—Montréal is the new Mecca for dancers who love pushing boundaries. One of the many artistic opportunities this city offers is Springboard Danse Montréal, a summer project where advanced dancers work directly with multiple companies and learn ballets by several top choreographers. Plans for 2012 include Ballet BC artistic director Emily Molnar teaching William Forsythe’s Herman Schmerman, Compagnie Marie Chouinard rehearsal director Ami Shulman setting Chouinard’s Orpheus, and Margie Gillis, Victor Quijada, Goteborg Ballet rehearsal director Stephan Laks, and Luna Negra artistic director Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, among others, will all be there.
