Audition Workshop

November 28, 2001

It’s almost audition season. Are you ready? Being a successful auditioner is a specific talent that’s about more than great dancing. You have to find a way to feel comfortable in that room, not let yourself get freaked out by the people with the clipboards, and figure out how to harness that adrenaline to fuel your energy and sharpen your focus.

Maple Conservatory of Dance
in Southern California is offering an Audition Techniques Workshop from December 27 to 30 with former American Ballet Theatre and Joffrey Ballet dancer Alaine Haubert. The first three days will break down each segment of the ballet class audition—starting from your entrance into the studio. The final day will include a mock audition and a personalized feedback section. For an additional fee, dancers can also have professional audition photos taken. The workshop costs $250 if paid by December 15, or $300 afterward. To reserve a spot, call Kimberly Olmos at 949-660-9930 or email her at [email protected].
